Choose and lock your own direction
There is no easier way to find your bearing in the wild or on the street, since your path is clearly marked, responding in 3D to the most subtle movements in a variety of orientations. Using the latest in 3D technology and spacial transformation dampening, Compass 3D is fast, incredibly responsive, and intuitive.
This is the 3D Augmented Reality compass you have been waiting for.
Inspired by the popular Orienteering Compass iPhone App, it also comes equipped with a rotating protractor: choose a direction by swiping your fingers, and lock the ring into place. It is that simple.
But beware, there are mounds of quaternion computations behind this impressive technological wonder: you will need the most recent iPhone or iPad, with a HD video camera, gyroscopic stabilization and spacial magnetometer.
Perfect for the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4s and the latest iPad(*).
(*) Compass 3D is really Hi-Tech. It requires the accelerometer, the magnetometer, the gyroscope, the streaming video camera feed and an accelerated 3D engine in order to even launch. But even with that, you won't need WiFi, geolocation nor telephony. Yes, you can use it in the woods or in airplane mode ; we've got you covered.
